Southampton Deed Records Show Wide Price Range, Most Sales Undisclosed

Southampton recorded 16 property transfers between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only six listed a sale price, ranging from $38,000 to $432,000 with a median of $275,000. The top sale was 46 Pleasant St. at $432,000, sold by a family trust to BankESB. Four streets, Katelyn Way, High Street, Pomeroy Meadow Road and the Moose Brook corridor, each had two recorded transfers, accounting for half the month's volume. Eleven of the 16 transactions involved a bank, credit union or mortgage-registration entity as buyer or seller, and three appear to be family or estate transfers, a pattern the limited disclosed-price data does not fully explain.
